Positive: If it weren't for the staff this place is an afterthought by Westin Hotels. The Pools are very nice as well. Grounds very nice, easy walkability. Parking is excellent as well.

Negative: Westin seems to have forgotten about this hotel. The staff and the lake is the saving grace. The rooms need updating, in which they are in the process of, but I found the back hallway (stairwell or fire exit) fifty, full of trash, it stunk and was dark. I was directed by the hotel check in that I could use that back hall way to exit out to walk my dog. It was dark, stinky, and full of trash like it had been forgotten about. Basically, led down to a black hole of which I was very unwilling to travel. Even my husband, who traveled it, was unwilling. Imagine if there were a fire ? Also, makeup lamp light in bath not working, took 10 min to get hot water to the shower, found some hair on the floor in the bathroom upon checking in .. but hey its a dog room. Checked in with a pooch and no dog amenities like a water bowl or cookie was in the room, in which being charged an extra $150 just for a dog, seems unreasonable in this day and age (with zero amenities to go with it). I stayed on a Sunday night, the weather was outstanding and I would have loved to sit outside on the veranda in front of a fire, but not one fire pit was on, not one. The Veranda was poorly lit as well. As far as the room, we were two guests and a dog, and there was only one regular coffee packet and one decaf and like 2 sugar packets in the room. No makeup towel as well, and I forgot my makeup remover towels so I had to use a white towel.. No where to set anything in the bath as well. For its size and little shelf or table would have been a good thought. Yes, so for Westin hotels of which I use and worked at during college, this poor hotel is forgotten about. What the hell happened Westin?
