Cabin sits on almost 2 acres right across from the Des Moines river , boat ramp just 1/4 mile away . Home has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing get away in the woods . Cabin is log and knotty pine inside . This cabin was built by my father in 2003 as his retirement home . We welcome well trained dogs , there is no fenced yard and lots of timber all around so we recommend keeping on leash as there are lots of deer crossing thru property daily . Boone is just a 10 min drive , Ogden 15 min . Don Williams recreation is also just 5 min drive . Come relax , rewind and just enjoy the peace and quiet of the country .

Summary: This is our third stay here, and it’s quickly become one of our favorite places to get away! We absolutely love the peace and quiet out in the country - you really feel like you’ve escaped the “real world” for a while. We love the location as a springboard to small-town Iowa and some of the best bike riding trails we’ve found.Heather is an awesome host, and we really appreciated the personal touches she added for our visit. We will definitely be back again!
