The only sounds you'll hear are those echoing off the river bank, unless you choose to take a short drive into the historic town of Owego (Budget Travel Magazine's "Coolest Small Town in the USA") for some shopping and antiquing. Owego also offers some neat bars and dining options.
The Susquehanna River is set right in the backyard and you can bring your own water toys and venture in at your own risk. River access is permitted.
