Summary: This could be an amazing spot, but it grossly misses the mark. Beware of a few things: 1) this cottage is not ‘on’ anything. It’s 100 yards from the Snake River and 40 feet above it *note the lake view amenity, because that is all you’re getting.* 2) No AC!!! We arrived to a house that was over 80 degrees and stayed that way, there are two mobile units to cool the home, which are totally insufficient for doing so. Owners are misrepresenting this property! 3) Safety hazards! There is quite a drop to the river, with rocks and boulders and no fencing to keep from falls. Exposed nails, trash and disposed materials, bird feces everywhere (nests throughout the exterior of the house). 4) Rustic is an overstatement. The interior is minimally appointed but the exterior is falling apart, rotten wood, unfinished surfaces, old outdoor furniture. If you’re looking for a quiet time and not wanting to really do anything then this is the spot for you. I would say families with kiddos should avoid, given the lack of access to the river and lack of really anything to do on property and the various safety hazards present. There’s also an old cottage/shed on the property that is completely accessible and looks really unsafe!
