We are surrounded by the Allegheny National Forest and the Allegheny River, where there are endless outdoor adventures. Just to name a few... hiking, kayaking, floating the river, fishing. The Bears Den is Clean & Bright with that outdoor mountain feeling. You can relax on the shared huge "cracker barrel" style porch and enjoy the river views.
The space
Newly renovated in 2021. The Bears Den is a wide open layout. We have a fully equipped kitchen and A/C to keep you cool during the summer months. Enjoy summer nights by the fire. Don't forget to look up at the stars at night... you will be amazed at what you see! This is the perfect place to connect with nature and leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. If you're looking to launch your kayak or canoe, the public river access is less than a minutes walk. No Smoking inside. No Parties. Firepits on-site and grills. All lofts and apartments have its own private entrance. Guest have full access to yard, fire pits, grills, patio, deck, parking and river access.
