This recently renovated 1960s A-Frame is perfect for anyone looking to relax and immerse themselves in nature. Sitting minutes from the Allegheny National Recreational Forest & Allegheny River, there is plenty of opportunity to hike, kayak, canoe, fish and more. Retreat to the A-Frame to cozy up by the Malm fireplace, play games, and cook a meal in the fully stocked kitchen.
The space
Conveniently located directly off of highway 62, you will find the quaint Allegheny A-frame nestled in the forest, on its own private acre of land. Our property is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city life and is a great base to enjoy all the area has to offer from hiking to kayaking, and more.
The space boasts a fully-equipped open plan kitchen and spacious living/dining area that leads out onto the front deck, firepit and yard space, perfect for enjoying fires and lawn games with family and friends. Heading out the back door, you will find another deck equipped with a propane BBQ and outdoor dining (in the warmer months).
The open plan dining area features a Malm fireplace and a harvest dining table that seats 4 guests comfortably.
The main floor bedroom includes a comfortable queen bed and large picture window with forest views. You will also find a smart TV to cozy up in bed and watch your favorite Netflix series.
The loft bedroom features a king bed and a private balcony walkout with hammock chairs to enjoy the sounds of the forest with your morning coffee. The loft also includes a reading corner and a quiet workspace.
Additional guests have access to an air mattress to sleep in the living room, upon approval at booking.
We provide crisp clean white linens, and towels for each stay.
The A-frame has one stylish full bathroom on the main floor with a shower/bathtub combination.
While the Allegheny A-frame is the perfect place to fully unplug and unwind, we understand the pressures of modern day and the need to stay connected, so we’ve wired the cabin with high-speed internet and Wi-Fi access, as well as smart TV with access to Netflix, ideal for cozying up in the living space to catch your favorite movie, sporting event, or television series. Within the living room, you will also find board games and a puzzle or book to enjoy.
Firewood: If you plan to use the fire pit or wood burning fireplace, we provide wood found to the right of the cabin under a sheltered area.
Please also note that this is hunting country, so do not be surprised if you hear the shooting in the area when hunting season is open.
Pets must be pre-approved.

There is a smart-lock and we will provide you with the code upon booking - this makes check-in very flexible and easy.
