Summary:
This cottage is nestled in the middle of an estate garden that is considered to be one of the most important in the region. The garden has been featured in numerous publications, and recently was accepted into the Smithsonian's Archives of American Gardens Collection.
The farm is home to a number of retired thoroughbreds and saddlebreds, and is a 25 minute drive to Downtown.
The rural setting results in a somewhat weak wifi signal.
The Space:
The cottage is one bedroom, one bath, kitchen, and living room. The porch on the front of the house overlooks the middle of the garden. Horse fields surround the garden, so there are plenty of scenic views.
Guest Access:
The garden, the pool, and most of the rest of the 300 acre farm.
There are two other families that live on the farm, so guests can expect to see other people walking the farm and garden, and occasionally using the pool.
Other Things to Note:
The pool is open until middle to late September. Sometimes other family members may be using the pool, so we cannot guarantee that guests will have the pool all to themselves. The bedroom has two single beds, and those are the only beds in the cottage.
