Make yourself at home in our two-story, cozy, modern apartment in the picturesque town of Harpswell ! We are accepting both short and long term rentals for the summer season and throughout the year. (Lower monthly rates for long term rentals, please inquire with property manager)
This abode is perfectly suited for either a business trip, couples looking for a romantic location, or a small family looking for a quiet, safe place to stay. Located on a private road, near The Ewing Narrows Bridge, connecting the islands of Harpswell. There are slight ocean views from the home, but the dazzling ocean surrounds you ! Walking distance from Black Sheep Wine, (offering a selection of wine, cheese & candy) as well as The Schoolhouse Cafe, and Veggie Corner, a great place for fresh vegies, butcher prepared meats, desserts and meals.
The entrance to the unit holds an accommodating office space complete with a large desk, chair, bookshelves, and a couch. On the same floor you will find the washer/dryer, and full bath. From the office space, there is a beautifully crafted spiral staircase which leads up to the living quarters of the apartment. Upstairs consists of a bright and cheery, Air-Conditioned bedroom with a comfy queen-sized bed, a modern, fully-equipped kitchen, with all appliances, full bath, and a sunlit living room including a lovely propane woodstove for chilly evenings. The sofa in the living room can serve as an additional bed for a 3rd or 4th guest. There are also 2 sliding doors from the living room area, leading out to a wonderfully furnished deck complete with a grill and lobster cooker for the relaxing dinners that await you! Such an inviting spot to enjoy your morning coffee, or evening cocktails! Each floor includes a full bath. This is the only apartment on the premises, space is not shared. * Please note, if bringing an electric vehicle, you may be charged an added electricity fee.
There is a town boat launch conveniently located, minutes away from the residence. There are many islands, coves , points and open water to enjoy. Also great for kayaking! If you don 't have your own, no worries, rentals are available from local outfitters ! You will also enjoy the charm of local lobster boats, seabirds, and other sea creatures that inhabit the area. Hiking in Harpswells' several nature preserves, and trails allows guests to "stretch their legs" while capturing the natural beauty of the sea cliffs, woods and nature. Additionally, the town is a great location for biking and fishing! Harpswell has so much to offer with its' 216 miles of coastline! including farms, art galleries, dining, (visiting The Dolphin Restaurant is a must !) fine shops, exploring, relaxing, and don't forget to indulge in the freshest lobster and seafood ! Travel to another island of Harpswell, and drive over the only existing, working Cribstone bridge in the US. Visit Land's End Gift Shop, board the Island Romance Ferry which cruises around the coastal islands, and so much more !
Harpswell is conveniently located 15 minutes from Brunswick, take the train from there and travel the Maine coast. Brunswick is also home to Bowdoin College, which offers the Maine State Music Theatre, with superb productions, and museums to enjoy! Close to Portland, and Freeport, home of LL Bean's, many outlet shops, and restaurants. Driving distance to Popham Beach in Phippsburg....the most spectacular stretch of sandy beach in Maine, along with historical forts to explore. Bath, Wiscasset, Boothbay Harbor, and Bar Harbor all all great day trips! So many sights to see in and around Harpswell ! You will surely want to return year after year !

"We had a lovely stay and this warm and welcoming apartment. The rooms are wonderfully decorated, the kitchen well stocked, and the library extensive and much appreciated on rainy days. Our visit was in April so the warm gas stove in the living room was welcome. The downstairs level would make a wonderful workspace for a working vacation.
