This oceanfront four bedroom property offers a perfect combination of beach vintage charm and modern amenities. The home has the original pine flooring throughout and the open plan main level offers paneled ceilings and custom built-ins. The beach cottage comfort extends to the kitchen's cream colored cabinets with glass fronts and touch lighting, granite and cherry counter tops, ceramic farm sink, instant hot faucet and stainless appliances. The adjacent dining area features a large bay window, matching corner cabinets, and expandable walnut table which seats 8+ and opens to the large comfortable living room with its fireplace and flatscreen tv. The glass pocket doors open to an enclosed sunroom with a seating area & sofa bed as well as an office area (house has cable and wifi).
Upstairs are four bedrooms - two are ocean facing and have glass sliding doors that open to a large private deck perfect falling asleep to the sound of the waves as well as watching the sun rise over the ocean horizon. There are two additional bedrooms, one with a bunk bed/full futon and flat screen tv; the other with a twin bed and pop up trundle.
Each of the home's three floors of has a full bathroom -all updated yet in keeping with the home's beach cottage decor.
The main level opens to a large deck with multiple cushioned lounging/seating areas, a separate teak dining set under a pergola wrapped in twinkling lights, a Weber grill, a bar set shaded by a tiki umbrella and a h/c rinse shower to use after a dip in your backyard ocean. From this main deck, a private walkway leads to a dune deck with umbrellas, hammock, lounges and adirondack seating - the ideal spot to sip a favorite drink and take in the ocean view. Only steps away is the private association beach. Surf, swim, fish, sail, build a sandcastle, fly a kite, toss a frisbee, look for shells, or just ease into a beach chair and enjoy watching the waves. And if you decide to explore beyond the ocean's edge, the island has much to offer: excellent restaurants (many byob), amusement & water parks, jet skiing, sailing, fishing trips, paragliding, SUPs, miniature golf, tennis, biking, as well as trendy boutiques and multiple antique stores. After the sun sets over the barrier island's west facing bay, stroll to the dune deck with a glass of wine and watch as the evening sky welcomes the stars and the silver moonlight dances on waves.
