We are located in the heart of Parkesburg and are within a 30 minute drive of some of Lancaster County's main attractions...Sight and Sound Theaters, Strasburg Railroad and the village of Intercourse.Also conveniently located within 45 minutes of historic Philadelphia...the Franklin Institute, Liberty Bell and Independance Hall. The Parkesburg train station is within walking distance and every day you will hear its whistle as it blows through town.
A complete Victorian house with full amenities. The house has a fully equipped kitchen if you choose to cook during your stay.The laundry and small powder room sit just off the kitchen. We have a main family room in the front of the house and a spacious dining room with a large oak dining table that seats six. On the other side of the foyer is a den with a large sofa, smart TV (no cable) and a writing desk. Just off the front porch is a small screened in room with two rockers to sit and watch traffic and people go by!
On the second floor there are four bedrooms. Three rooms feature a queen size bed. The fourth room adjoins the one bedroom and has a twin sized daybed and a trundle underneath it. There is a door that you can lock between the two rooms however the doorway that opens into the hallway has only a curtain that pulls across the doorway. You will find a pack n play in the hallway closet. A full sized bathroom with a shower (no tub) is located at the top of the stairs. There is also a balcony going out from the hallway on the second floor. It overlooks the back yard and has a glider swing to enjoy an early morning cup of coffee!
Behind the house is a picnic area with a fire pit and picnic table and benches for a relaxing evening of roasting marshmallows and sitting by a crackling fire. We provide kindling and firewood. There's also a gas grill on the back porch.
We provide a welcome treat on the buffet in the dining room along with coffee, sugar, creamer and tea bags.
