Nestled in a charming historical Jamestown neighborhood, our home away from home combines modern comforts with classic warmth, offering the perfect base for a memorable getaway. With nearby entertainment and a welcoming atmosphere, this retreat is designed for relaxation and adventure amidst the beauty of this classic hometown.
The Space:
Tucked away on a quiet street, yet centrally located, our 1920’s 2-story home (+ finished basement!) boasts its original charm throughout, while uniquely combining a cozy modern farmhouse vibe.
Our main floor features a large dining room (seats comfortably up to 8), a comfy living room with fireplace & large TV, fully equipped kitchen, breakfast nook (seats 4), mudroom with a desk for working space (including high-speed WIFI), and half bathroom.
Our 2nd floor features 3 bedrooms, (1 King size bed, 2 Queen size beds), and a full bathroom, with plenty of extra towels, blankets, and pillows for an extra comfortable stay.
One of our favorite spaces in our home (hard to choose!), is our fully finished basement, which is also open during your stay. Our basement features a full wet bar (with sink, & ice machine), a foosball table that converts into ping-pong, or air hockey, a variety of board games, & 2 dartboards for your entertainment. We have a table (seats up to 4) down there, perfect for playing cards, board games and/or for great conversations. With 2 large TVs, if your preference is to turn it into a movie night, you don’t have to decide on only 1 at a time. (Be sure and take advantage of our old-fashioned popcorn maker in the upstairs kitchen!) If you are looking to potentially sleep more guests (or are so comfy you don’t want to go back upstairs), our couch in the basement opens to a bed, that could allow for 2 kids, or a smaller adult. Additionally, our basement includes a full bathroom, as well as a full-size washer/dryer, and a utility sink.
Each floor in our home has its own baseboard heaters, which is in addition to the fireplace located on the main floor. While we currently don’t have central air conditioning, each bedroom features its own ceiling fan, and throughout the home we have ample windows that when opened, create a beautiful fresh breeze throughout.
Our spacious fenced in yard sits on 3 lots, allowing ample room for your pets (or you!) to run around and enjoy the beauty of nature. We have a firepit with seating, so pack the smores and get ready to make memories!
Other notes:
- Kitchen (fully equipped) includes a crockpot for those cold nights you just want to “set it and forget it” and have a yummy warm dinner to come home to.
- Main floor living room includes cable and has available hook-ups for either Roku, or Firestick.
- The basement is equipped with 1 TV with a Roku, & 1 TV with a Firestick.
- Main floor bathroom has a blow dryer, one less item to pack!
