Summary: The hotel room, lobby, and pool area, were clean but exceptionally DARK. The only lights working outside of the restroom inside of our hotel room were two desk lamps. There were no main room ceiling lights or lights near the beds. The TV appeared to once be mounted to the wall, but then replaced with a much cheaper, and smaller model. Minimal lighting in the pool area also. Both large side walls of the pool had light fixtures that did not work, nor did any overhead lighting. Online listing about the pool shows/describes a "lazy river" in the pool. There is no current to make it a lazy river. It's just some dividers. Waterslides were OK according to the kids. Hot tub was OK, but not very hot, nor were the jets exceptionally powerful. Sauna was in working order. I'm not sure if the poor lighting was to disguise any disrepair, or worn areas, but it was very, very odd. Also the lobby and any side rooms appeared to be stuffed full of random cardboard boxes. Beds were NOT comfortable whatsoever. Hard mattresses and scratchy sheets. Bath soaps and towels were OK. Hotels.com listing said our room had a jetted tub. It did not. It was a standard bathtub. Room was overall clean. Breakfast was decent, but the same both days. The eggs on morning #2 were dried out at the start of the breakfast shift, making us wonder if they were leftovers. OK for what it was, but not sure if we'd stay again. Sign says "Best Hotel in the U.P." That's a stretch. Maybe best UP Americinn...
