Welcome to "Carpenters Retreat,” an authentic log cabin home built by a local craftsman. Set back from the road, the home is surrounded by over 3 acres of woods to simply relax with family and friends. Our location is just minutes from all that Bucks County has to offer. Explore the historic local towns of Washington's Crossing, Newtown, New Hope, and Lambertville to name a few. Visit our county seat of Doylestown home of the Mercer and James A. Michener Museums, Font Hill and the Moravian Tile Works. Stroll through Peddler's Village and attend one if its many festivals throughout the year (strawberries in the spring, apples and scarecrows in the fall, and of course Christmas shopping, lights and festivities). Our retreat is in the quaint town of Wrighstown, part of Newtown township, which is home to the famous Middletown Grange Fair in August and the Renaissance Fair in September. We are a perfect location for the Bucks County Wine Tours and Equestrian Activities.
Enter the cabin into a lovely and comfortable great room with cathedral ceiling and a large stone fireplace with a separate nook for reading and relaxing with a view of the grounds. There are 3 bedrooms. The first-floor master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom (with Jacuzzi tub) and a sitting room that can be used as an additional sleeping room for a small child. The first floor has a fully equipped eat in kitchen with all that you need to make meals at home, a nice "night in" alternative to the many wonderful restaurants in the area. There is a tiled sun room, great for reading and relaxing and a private outdoor porch area adjacent to the Master suite. The 2nd floor has 2 bedrooms both with queen beds. These rooms share a newly renovated bathroom with a large tiled shower. The 3rd bedroom can be used as a separate room for sleeping guests or can be used as a private sitting area for smaller group bookings; as it is appointed with a new queen size daybed The comfortable, clean and cozy interior has central air and is high-speed WIFI equipped. There is a lovely front entrance porch with seating for the entire family and lots of ground to roam about. The cabin features a new gas grill for outdoor cooking.
When not traveling you may find the owner/caretakers in their "shop" located on the property; where they live and create.
